This web site is dedicated to the preservation of the Sperry, and General Electric Carbon Arc Searchlights used in W.W.II, and now used in the Outdoor Advertising Industry for over 60 years.  The goal of this site is to provide for all Carbon Arc Searchlight owners, a place to  exchange ideas, and information on searchlight history, restoration, parts, problems, sales, handy hints, and anything else related to this great piece of W.W. II history.

I started this site because I restored a General Electric Searchlight to it's original World War II glory.   During my search for a good specimen to restore, I had talked with many searchlight owner/operators coast to coast, and have discovered the many problems they are up against in maintaining these aging machines.    Finding parts, the high cost of maintenance is a big problem.  Sadly, I have seen many searchlight graveyards because of these problems.

I hope this web site will unite searchlight owners in some way to help each other keep our great lights running for years to come through an exchange of knowledge and information on this site.    Please email me with any ideas you might have.

Let me know if there are parts you are looking for, or if you have parts for sale.  I will post your company on this site if you wish in the operator section, and if you have a web site,  I will provide a link to your website as well. All suggestions are welcome.
